Hello lovelies,
I'M AMIE!

Warmest welcome and thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting my website, it truly means the world to me. I'd love to share a little about myself and more importantly the "why" behind my choice to run a couples and portrait photography business

I hope you're having a great day! :)

To start, I grew up in Cockatoo, a little town just over an hour from Melbourne city and I think it has had a huge impact on the way I see the world. If I don't get out in nature enough I get crabby and I'll never get sick of listening to the birds sing and watching the grass dance as the wind rushes through it. Outside in the open space is where I find peace and comfort. I am largely an introvert and love listening to Hazlett and Jeremy Zucker, I'm a classic overthinker trying to work out how not to be and I love that I get to capture God's creation through a little box and piece of glass that stores up and records light. I've been a professional photographer since my first year out of uni (which is not what I studied), and I've always questioned what kind of career would offer me some sense of satisfaction and purpose. After years of praying, this chapter I've found myself in feels more comfortable and natural than anything else that has gone before, and I couldn't be more grateful.

When I really reflect and take stock of the important and cherished things in my life, it comes down to people, not things. People fill our cup in ways that belongings never could, they love us back, if we're lucky unconditionally too. We are here on Earth to love, to be kind to others and to be an example of God's love. That's all really. If I can capture even the smallest inkling of the love that two people share and take it from an intangible feeling to something they can hold on to, I can't think of a bigger blessing. I was made to capture your beauty, to give honour to your story so your great grandchildren know of the love that has gone before them.

Lots of love,

Amie xx

"We had so much fun taking photos with Amie, she shared her creative ideas so thoughtfully and joined in our laughter. At times we forgot that she was photographing us and this captured the love in our relationship so beautifully. With the use of vintage colours and stunning location, it's like Josh and I were in a movie. Amie feels like a long-lost friend and it was a total joy to connect with her."
